Family-Friendly Care

Families are their own tiny ecosystem – something that affects one member of the family can easily affect others. At the same time, when families work to achieve better health together, everyone benefits. At All Points Acupuncture, we offer a wide variety of services for every member of your family, and we’re here to support all of you as you embark on your journey to better health.

Suitable for All Ages

We’re frequently asked if children have to be a certain age before they can benefit from acupuncture. Studies have shown that, in the hands of a trained acupuncture practitioner, children as young as three weeks old can safely receive acupuncture treatment.

Acupuncture is well-known to provide pain relief for a range of ailments, but it can also provide noticeable benefits for many other issues, such as:

  • Difficulty sleeping
  • Anxiety
  • Acne
  • ADHD
  • Asthma
  • Allergies
  • Bedwetting
  • Diarrhea
  • Stomach Aches

What About Needles?

We understand that some patients, especially younger ones, might be apprehensive about the use of needles in acupuncture treatment. The needles we use are extremely fine, which means that they’re so small, most people don’t even feel them!

However, if you or your young ones are worried about them, we’re happy to offer acupressure treatment, which is needle-free, as a gentle introduction.

Drug-Free & Effective

For some families, medication isn’t a viable option for long-term treatment. A child might be particularly sensitive to a certain form of medication or might experience unpleasant side effects that negate the positive benefits. Acupuncture is a form of treatment that addresses complete body health, not just one symptom, and does so with no or minimal side effects. If side effects do develop, they usually involve nothing more than light bruising.

What to Expect

Your first visit will be all about getting to know you and your family. For each individual receiving treatment, we’ll discuss their health history, any medications they may be taking, and their daily routines, such as diet and lifestyle habits. Acupuncture is a holistic treatment, which means that we’ll be taking every facet of your physical and emotional wellness into account.

Once we know what needs to be addressed and what manner of acupuncture would be most beneficial for each individual, we’ll provide you with a unique treatment plan.
